5.2. Methods <br />A. Exterior. The site must remain in a clean and neat condition and at the end of the project must be <br />cleartd of all material, trash, and debris. Planting of grass must not be permitted until all clean-up <br />is completc. <br />B. Demolition: Debris and structures must be removed completcly from premises and site must be <br />leveled and clean so as to prevent the ponding of water. <br />C. Excavating: Excevate to grade specified in the drawings. Where excavations are not ehown in <br />drawings, excavate as required form installation. Depressions resuldng from i+emoval of site <br />obstructions must be filled as necessary to level site to originat or specified grade. <br />D. Sub-grade preparadon: Clearing, scarifying, and re-compaction must be completed es specified, if <br />not specified it must be completed as required for installation. <br />E. Structural fill must bc compacted to 95%. <br />F. Paved areas fill must have a minimum of 6b' of fill eompacted to 90'/0. <br />6.0 Concrete <br />6.1. Materials <br />A. Alt concrete must have a minimal- 28 day compression strength of 2500 psi with a maximum <br />slump of 6b'. <br />B. All reinforcing steel must comply with ASTM designation A 615 Grade 40, and must be clean and <br />fiEe of nist. <br />C. All welded steel wire fabric must comply With ASTM designation A 185. <br />D. Concrete must not be placed over grass, roots, or foreign materials. <br />E. All Portland cement must comply with the requiroments of ASTM C150, CSA A-S, or AASHTO <br />M85. <br />F. Cement used at or below grade must comply with the requirements of Type 1. <br />G. Cement used above grade must comply with Type 1. <br />H. Fill dirt must be clean, compacted, and free &om harmful materials. <br />1. All materials used for concrete forms must be sound and clean and must be removcd after the <br />concrete reaches final set. Voids and honeycombed surfaces must be filled with cement grout. <br />All concrete is to be poured when the temperature ie at forty degrces Faheenheit (40 F) or above <br />and rising. If the surface temperature is over ninety degrees Fahrenheit (90 F) steps to cooi the <br />surface such as watering will be taken as required <br />6.2. Methods <br />6.3. PieTS and Pads <br />A. Piers must be solid, monolithic, reinfom,ed concnete with minimum dimensions of 8V x S F/ x <br />(d+4"). (d= distance from buttom of sill to extsting ground surFace - minimum of 12b').
