1.25 The Contract Admmistrator wiU inspect such work as soon as possible (ususlly within one business day) <br />from receipt of such request. <br />1.26 The Contract AdministcaWr will provide a completed Contractor Request for Paymant form to the <br />conhactor. The contractor must sign for the work for wFvch payment is authorized and t6en request the <br />homeoamer to exccutc the Contractor Request for Payment form. Payments will bc made thereafter. <br />1.27 All materials used must be new (untess otherwise speciSed in the Project Manual) and of a good quality. <br />All work must be done with skilled craftsmen and aceomplished with care. Contractor must provide <br />samples to the homeowner for seloction for all materials as cited in the individual specificarions and <br />provide reasonable timc to the homeowner to make selections. Contractor must submit a letter to the <br />Contract Administrator, signed by the homeowner, stating that the homeowner approves of colois and <br />yuality of items such as, but not limited to; paint, flooring materials, brick, shingles, vinyl siding, <br />door/window/drawer hardware, and counter tops. <br />1.28 Upon completion of conswction, the contractor wiil; <br />A. Remove all construction debris from the site; <br />B. Clean and mop all resilient floors; <br />C. Clean all new and existing paint from other 5nished surfaces including window glass and mirrors; <br />D. Leave all newly installed items in operating condition; <br />E. Light gas water heaur pilots, stove/oven pilots and gas 6eater pilots; <br />F. Start all other electrical and mechanical systems; <br />G. Put all hardware in operating condition; <br />H. Deliver new keys to homeowners as hardwart is installed. <br />1.29 Discovery of defective elements made known to the coetractor before or dwing the conswction process <br />must be brought to the immcdiatc attention of the Contract Administrator in writing. When repaiis are <br />made, tF►e repairs must reasonably match the surrounding materials in original design and dimension as <br />approved by the Contract Administrator. <br />1.30 Where additional work is necessary to maice repaire or to correct unforeseen dangeroua conditions, the <br />wntractor must submit to the ContraR:t Adminiatrator a proposal consisting of what type of work ie <br />needed, the cost of such work, and the time nxessary for such work to bc completed. Unless it is <br />detecmined there exists an immodiate health and safety danger, NO WORK MUST BE A[TTHORIZED <br />until agreed upon in writing by the homeowner, contractor, aad Conhact Administrator. <br />1.31. Compensation for additional wocic will be aegotiated in the following manner, <br />A. The deletion of work proposed, but not started; or if that is not possible; <br />B.
