<br />City of Paris Historic Resources Survey 2003 <br />Phase 2 - Page 3 <br />June 3, 2004 <br /> <br />Task 1.3 - Field Survey and Analysis <br /> <br />Task 1.3.1 - Field Survey <br />The survey team will travel each city street within the existing historic districts, and to <br />each individually listed National Register Property. Each of these previously recorded <br />properties will be evaluated in order to update the existing survey fonn as needed. <br /> <br />All properties will be digitally photographed <br /> <br />F or newly recorded properties, each will be documented by digital photography and a <br />Photo Index Sheet will record and cross- reference the photographs to the inventory. <br />Detailed descriptions and an architectural analysis of the sites or properties deemed of <br />some significance will be recorded on Electronic Texas Historic Sites Inventory Fonns <br />developed for this project. All documentation ma terials will meet the standards required <br />by the Texas Historical Commission. <br /> <br />Task 1.3.2 - Analysis <br />When all fieldwork and research phases are completed, the surveyed properties will be <br />assigned a HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW significance or preservation priority rating. <br />Previously surveyed properties will have their assigned significance rating verified. <br />Based on their architectural integrity and historical associations, documented sites will be <br />evaluated on the basis of the following criteria: <br /> <br />HIGH PRIORITY - Contributes significantly to local history or broader historical <br />patterns; is an outstanding or unique example of architecture, engineering or crafted <br />design; and retains a significant portion of its original character and contextual integrity. <br /> <br />MEDIUM PRIORITY - Contributes to local history or broader historical patterns, but <br />alterations have diminished its integrity; is a good but typical example of architecture, <br />engineering or crafted design; is a good but altered illustration of a common local <br />building fonn, architectural style or type. <br /> <br />LOW PRIORITY - Typifies a common local building fonn, architectural style or type, <br />with little or no identified historic associations; is a moderate to severely altered resource <br />that exemplifies a distinctive building type or architectural style, or that has only minor <br />historic significance. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Survey Reports <br /> <br />Task 2.1 - Survey Overview Report <br />A summary of the Survey findings will be prepared, which will include statistical data <br />regarding the survey's results, a detailed description of the survey boundaries, <br />methodology, context and historical infonnation. <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />I <br />
