S. T. M. <br /> D-2513-57 and C. S. 255-63 or black steel <br /> protected against soil corrosion with an ap- <br /> proved type protective coating and sacrificial <br /> anode and shall be installed according to <br /> manufacturer's recommendations. Field <br /> wrapping shall be limited to short sections <br /> stripped for threading and fittings. <br /> Polyethylene pipe shall be installed with an <br /> electrically conductive tracer wire and shall <br /> not extend above ground level. Customer <br /> portion of underground service pipe connected <br /> to high pressure gas shall not be less than 3/4 <br /> inch in size and those connected to low pressure <br /> gas shall not be less than 1-1/4 inch in size, <br /> provided size is sufficient for capacity require - <br /> ments. Metal casing may be used in lieu of <br /> tracer wire. " <br /> <br /> (24) Paragraph 22. 2. 4 shall have added thereto the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> "Polyethylene pipe 3/4 inch and larger may be <br /> connected to the same grade and specification <br /> material by an approved heat fusion method. " <br /> <br /> (25) Paragraph 22. 2. 5 shall be changed to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "22. 2. 5 Approved Stop and Hose Cocks: <br /> All stop cocks and hose cocks used in connection <br /> with gas house piping shall be of a type designed <br /> and approved for use with natural gas. Fittings <br /> 3 inches and smaller shall be of black malleable <br /> iron but cast -iron fittings may be used in sizes <br /> above 3 inches. An approved type plug valve <br /> shall be installed in the meter loop on the street <br /> side or at the house riser where the meter is <br /> located at the curb or property line. " <br /> <br /> (26) Paragraph 22. 2. 6 shall be changed to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "22. 2. 6 Bushings: Bushings shall not be <br /> used. " <br /> (27) Paragraph 22. 2. 8 shall be changed to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "22.2.8 Insulated Connections: All <br /> connections between ferrous and non-ferrous <br /> piping except appliance connections and be - <br /> tween above ground and below ground steel <br /> piping shall be made by the use of dielectric <br /> couplings or unions.
