1.25 The Contract Administmtor will inspect such work as soon as possible (usuaily within one business day) <br />from receipt of such request. <br />1.26 The Contract Administrator will provide a completed Contractor Request for Payment form to the <br />contcactor. The contractor must sign for the work for which payment is autlwrized and then reyuest the <br />homeowner to exccute the Contractor Raquest for Payment form. Payments will be made thereafter. <br />1.27 All materials used must be new (unless otherwise specified in the Project Manual) and of a good quality. <br />All work must be done with skilled cmftsmen and aceomplished with caro. Contractor must provide <br />samples to the 6omeowner for selection for all materials as cited in the individual specificadons and <br />pmvide reasonsble time to the homeowner to make selections. Contractor must submit a lettcr to the <br />Contract Administrator, signed by the homeowner, stating that the homeowner approves of colors and <br />quality of items such as, but not limited to; paint, flooring materials, brick, shingles, vinyl siding, <br />door/window/drawer hardware, and counter tops. <br />1.28 Upon completion of consttuction, the contractor will; <br />A. Remove all construction debris from the site; <br />B. Clean and map all resilient floors; <br />C. Clean all new and exiating paint from other finished surfaces iqcluding window glass and mirrots; <br />D. Leave all newly instaUed items in oporating condition; <br />E. Light gas water heater pibts, stove/oven pilots and gas heater pilots; <br />F. Start all other clectricaE and mechanical systems; <br />G. Put all hardware in operatiag condidon; <br />H. Deliver new keys to homeowners as hardware is installed. <br />1.29 Discovery of defective elements made known to the coetracwr before or during the conshuction process <br />must be brought to the immediatc attention of the Contract Administrator in writing. When repaits are <br />made, the repairs must reasonably match the suaounding materials in original design and dimension as <br />approvod by the Contract Administrator. <br />130 Where additionsl work is necessary to make repairs or to correct unforescen dangerous conditions, tho <br />contractor must submit to the Contract Administrator a proposal consisting of what type of work is <br />nceded, the cost of such work, and the time nxessary for sueh woric to be completad. Unless it is <br />determined there exists an immediate health and safety danger, NO WORK MUST BE AUTHORIZED <br />until agreed upon in writing by the homeowner, conhactor, and Contract Administrator. <br />1.31. Compensarion for additional work will be negotiated in the following manner, <br />A. The deletion of work proposed, but not started; or if that is not possible; <br />B.
