B. Tripping ha7ards in primary walkways or decks caused by upheaval, broken or damaged wood or <br />concrete or other condidon crcating a hazard. <br />C. Any condition not rnentioned that meets the definition of a hazacdous or substandand condition <br />should be r+epaired and/or rehabilitatal to meet industry standards <br />4.0 Exterminatlon <br />4.1 Minunum Extermination Standards <br />A. Propcrty should be inspected by a licenged exterminator and tirated as required by written <br />inspection t+eport This wi11 be required of all dwellings unless homoowner can prove applicstion of <br />service within h,velve (12) months of rehabilitation through a written receipt or statement. <br />4.2 Hazardous and Substandard Condidons <br />A. Must include any condition that threatens the health and or safety of the occupants. Substandard <br />conditions include any condition that threatens, defeats or will lead to the lack of fuactional <br />viability of a single feature of a home. These condiNons must include but not be limited to: <br />1. Infestations of pest, wood destroying insects, or vermin; <br />2. Untreated wood having direct ground contact and used for structural purposes; <br />3. Cluttered debris or stored materials suitable for rodent or insect habitat <br />B. Any other condition not mentioned that meets We definition of a hazardous or substandard <br />condition should be repaired and/or rehabilitated to meet industry standards. <br />5.0 Space and Uee <br />5.1 Minimum Space Standards for Ctiilings <br />A. Wherever possible, a habitable room in a dwelling or dwelling unit must have s ceiling height of <br />not less than 7'-6". At least h of the floor area of every habitable room located above the 1' floor, <br />must have a ceiliqg height of 7'-6". The floor area of that part of any room where ihe ceiling <br />height is less than 71-6" must not be coasidered as part of the floor area in r,omputing the total <br />floor area of the room for the purpose of determining maximum floor area. <br />B. Where the ceiling height of a habitable room is less than 7' and it would be cost-prohibitive to <br />raise said ceiling, the requiremcnt may be waived provided tho Contract Administrator does so in <br />writing. <br />C. A ceiling height of a minimum of 7', is acceptable in bathrooms, toilei roonts, hal]ways, utility <br />rooms, and kitchens. <br />5.2 Minimum Space Standards for Hallways <br />A. All rooms, except tcitchens snd/or kitchenettes and batha, haflways, storage rooms and porches <br />must have, a minimum width of 7'. <br />5.3 Minimum Space Standards for Kitchens <br />A.
