was held at Paris, Texas, on the 11th day of June, 1973, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the institu- tion of annexation proceedings; and, WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 27th day of May, 1973, which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the first day of January, 1973, was 12, 251. 6552 acres; and, WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is in excess of 5,000 and less than 25,000 inhabitants; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies within the ex- traterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 12.12 acres, more or less, which is less than ten per cent (1070) of the present acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY T HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. The following described land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and said territory hereinafter described shall hereafter be included within the boundary limits of the City of Paris, Texas, and the present boundary limits of said city, at the various points contiguous to the area here- inafter described, are altered and amended so as to include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas, to-wit: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of the John W. Williams Survey, and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point 50 feet North of Highway 271 East C/L Survey Station 185+42.4, and being in the City Limits line described by City Ordinance No. 2119, dated November 20, 1972; THENCE S. 53 °02' E., parallel and 50 feet North of said Highway C/L, a distance of 2202. 6 feet to a point, said point being 50 feet North of Highway 271 C/L Station 207+45 and C/L Sta. (F. M. 1508) 4+92. 9 and the beginning of a curve to the left on F. M. 1508, which curve has a radius of 591. 37 feet, degree of 9°41' and intersection angle of 47°16'; THENCE along said F. M. Highway No. 1508 and curve to the left being 50 feet North of and radial with said C/L a distance of 488. 2 feet to the end of said curve;
