Planning and Zoning Meeting <br />June 5, 2001 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Glenda Wickersham, 1122 6th Street SE, opposed the petition stating <br />that she doesn't want any kind of manufactured home in the area. Ms. <br />Wickersham stated that the area is low income and manufactured <br />homes in the area would only keep it that way. Ms. Wickersham, also <br />stated that neighbors are trying to clean up the area and manufactured <br />homes would not help the appearance. Ms. Wickersham stated that <br />mobile homes should be in mobile home parks. <br /> <br />Hunter Moore, who owns property on 6th Street SE, opposed the <br />petition stating that mobile homes would decrease the value of his <br />property. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed specifications that could be placed on mobile <br />homes with a specific use permit. <br /> <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of Calvin Gibson for a <br />change in zoning from a Two-Family Dwelling District (2F), to a One- <br />Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) With Specific Use Permit (39) <br />Mobile Homes, Lots 19 and 20, City Block 160, being numbers 1050 and <br />1106 5th Street SE. <br /> <br />Motion was made to approve by Marshall Kent and seconded by Bobby <br />Myers for a mobile home with a front porch that leads to the front of <br />the property and an off-street parking space must be provided. Motion <br />carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Mary Gibson for a change in <br />zoning from a Multiple-Family Dwelling No. 1 0VIF-1) to a Commercial <br />District (C), Lot 13B, City Block 157, being number 1095 1st Street SW. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br /> <br />
