Joint Meeting with the City Council and
Airport Advisory Board
June 28, 2001
Page 2

Mr. Haynes introduced the members of the Airport Advisory Board.

Frank Davis, Interim City Engineer, came forward giving out a handout of a
typical layout of a seven unit nested T-hangar. Also included in the handout
was a T-hangar comparison chart of several different manufacturer's
information that he had taken from websites. He said this information is what
these manufacturers have proposed before and went over these with the City
Council and the Airport Advisory Board. Mr. Davis said that the standard size
T-hangar has a 42 foot wide opening with a 12 foot door. Mr. Davis said that
these manufacturers will produce any size you want, but most have a standard
model. Mr. Davis pointed out that there is also a comparison on the chart for
what the City of Paris has previously used for the plans and specifications. He
said this was a 42'6' x 14' 0" hangar with a sliding door consisting of 1,260
square feet.

Mayor Pfiester stated that the Airport Advisory Board recommended
proceeding with the seven unit T-hangar. He said the City Council's goal is to
try to accommodate as many people as possible with the amount of funds that
are available for construction of T-hangars.

After a considerable amount of discussion between the City Council and the
Airport Advisory Board, a motion was made by Airport Advisory Board
Member Vic Ressler, seconded by Airport Advisory Board Member J. B.
Ritchey, to recommend to the City Council to bid the T-hangar with a 12 foot
door height and a 42 foot width, and to bid with 10 foot 6 inches door height
with a 40 foot, 6 inches width, and to rebid the 7 unit T-hangar as originally
bid, all with sliding doors. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays.

A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Manning,
to rebid the 7 unit T-hangar as originally bid, bid the T-hangar with 10 foot 6
inches door height with 40 foot, 6 inches width, and bid with a 12 foot door
height with the 42 foot width, all having sliding doors. The motion carried 6
ayes, 0 nays.
