Phase II - Scope of Work - Asbestos Abatement Irerracon <br />Grand Theatreâ– 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas <br />June 4, 2012 â– Terracon Project No. 94107645 <br />Exterior (see attached drawinq) <br />Thermal Pipe/Fitting Insulation <br />100 In. ft. <br />NOTES: <br />a) CONTRACTOR will be responsible for site security throughout the remediation <br />project. <br />b) Due to the deterioration of interior building materials the work area will require <br />extensive precleaning prior to beginning remediation activities. The precleaning <br />may consist of the clean-up of asbestos, lead and fungal contaminated debris. <br />These activities will be performed after the installation of critical barriers <br />separating each work area and installing a three chambered decontamination <br />system. Placement in the work area of negative air machines which will be <br />exhausted to the outside. <br />c) CONTRACTOR will remove the air supply vents/ registers and any designated <br />lighting from the ceiling on the first and second floor. These items will be cleaned <br />and decontaminated and stored in a designated area for re-use by the Owner. <br />d) CONTRACTOR will remove and dispose of the carpet in the first floor lobby as <br />asbestos waste. <br />e) CONTRACTOR is responsible for providing all scaffolding, ladders and/or <br />staging necessary to accomplish the work of this contract. The type, erection and <br />use of scaffolding, including provisions for fall protection and employee training, <br />shall comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1962, SUBPART L. <br />fl CONTRACTOR is responsible for Fall Protection for his employees. <br />CONTRACTOR is solely responsible for protection CONTRACTOR's employees <br />form fall hazards. Fall protections protocols must comply with all applicable <br />provision of OSHA 29 CFR 1926.500, SUBPART L.
