Phase II - Scope of Work - Asbestos Abatement Irerracon <br />Grand Theatreâ– 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas <br />June 4, 2012 â– Terracon Project No. 94107645 <br />h) CONTRACTOR will be responsible for the cleaning/decontamination of identified <br />items which the Owner intends to save due to their historical significance. These <br />items may consist of various equipment, projectors and/or related equipment. <br />Once these items are cleaned they will be stored in a designated area provided <br />by the Owner. These items will be identified by the Consultant prior to beginning <br />remediation. <br />i) Remaining equipment, fixtures and items in the proposed works area are <br />considered contaminated and will be disposed of asbestos waste. These items <br />may consist of desks, signs and other, ceiling grid, lightning, and other items <br />within the work area. <br />j) CONTRACTOR will demolish and remove all theater seating in the designated <br />work area on the first floor lobby. The seating may be decontaminated and <br />disposed of as general construction waster. <br />k) CONTRACTOR will provide a continuous fire watch whenever an active <br />containment is in operation. <br />I) If the CONTRACTOR does not perform load out through the decontamination <br />chamber a separate waste load out chamber will be connected to the work area, <br />with material ingress and egress through a flapped doorway constructed of six <br />millimeter polyethylene sheeting. The exit of the waste load out area will also be <br />constructed with six millimeter polyethylene flapped doorway. The water used <br />during the waste load out procedures as a result of cleaning the outside of the <br />bags will be properly filtered prior to discharge. No personnel may use this for <br />ingress or egress in the containment area. <br />m) Drawings provided depict the general locations of the identified asbestos- <br />containing materials (ACM's) to be abated. The drawings show the basic <br />configuration of the identified ACM's and are provided for informational purposes. <br />The CONTRACTOR will perform work for materials present, regardless of actual <br />quantities or extent of material and no increase in Contract amount will be <br />allowed for quantity adjustment. <br />n) Owner will provide sources of power and water for the project, it will be the <br />CONTRACTOR's responsibility to route each to the area of usage at the <br />CONTRACTOR's expense. <br />o) CONTRACTOR's fee will include the cost of the electrician/plumber expe <br />abatement area "make safe." ^ <br />TDSHS Li <br />Expiration <br />09.13 <br />for <br />
