Phase II - Scope of Work - Asbestos Abatement lrerracon <br />Grand Theatreâ– 21 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas <br />June 4, 2012 â– Terracon Project No. 94107645 <br />The CONSULTANT will conduct the following key Project inspections and no work by <br />the CONTRACTOR will proceed beyond these points until all discrepancies noted during <br />the inspection have been corrected. <br />The CONSULTANT'S inspections do not relieve the CONTRACTOR of Contract <br />obligations and are not designed to locate all project discrepancies. The <br />CONTRACTOR is responsible for project quality. <br />First Key Inspection: <br />Inspection of Work Area Prior to Start of Removal: Removal operations shall not <br />proceed until the CONSULTANT has completed inspection of the Work Area <br />preparations and until all discrepancies noted have been corrected. <br />Second Key Inspection: <br />Inspection Durinq Removal: Removal Work shall not be conducted unless the <br />CONSULTANT is on the Project site. Daily inspection of the Work Area and Work <br />practices will be conducted; upon discovery and report of a discrepancy the <br />CONTRACTOR shall immediately stop Work and correct the discrepancy. <br />Third Key Inspection: <br />Inspection of Work Area After Completion of Removal Work, but Prior to Encapsulation <br />and Containment Disassemblv: A visual inspection of the Work site and/or Containment <br />areas and removal surfaces will be conducted at this point by the CONSULTANT and <br />encapsulation and/or containment disassembly shall not proceed until discrepancies <br />noted have been corrected. <br />Fourth Key Inspection: <br />Final Clearance: After encapsulation and final clean-up of the Work Area, but prior to <br />removal of Critical Barriers, the CONSULTANT will conduct a visual inspection. <br />Final Key Inspection: <br />Proiect Closeout Inspection: A final inspection will be conducted by the CONSULTANT <br />after the CONTRACTOR has removed all barrier tape, drop-cloths, equipment, and <br />supplies. A project "Punch List" will be provided of any items requiring correction or <br />completion.
