(2) Where sufficient additional circuits are added that <br />require a master switch. <br />(k) That no person9 firm oroorporation shall cover up any electrical wir- <br />ing in the process of construction without inspection by the Electrical Inspector <br />of the City of Paris, and the Electrical Inspector of the City of Paris shall have <br />the authority to require any personp firm or corporation, which has so covered <br />electrical wiring in the process of construction, to uncover such wiring or elec- <br />trical equipment which has been concealed without an inspection by the Electrical <br />Inspector. <br />(1) Section 210-22, Subsection. (b) of said National Electrical Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />That on all dwelling type occupancies, in every kitchen, <br />dining room, breakfast room, living room, parlora <br />library, den, sunroom, recreation room, and bedrooma <br />receptacle outlets shall be installed so that no point along <br />the floor line in any useable wall space is more than 6 <br />feet, measured horizontally from an outlet in that space, <br />including any useable wall space Z feet wide or greater <br />and the wall space occupied by sliding panels in exterior <br />walls. The receptacle outlets shall, insofar as practi- <br />cable, be spaced equal distances apart. RPceptacle out- <br />lets in floors shall not be counted as part of the required <br />number of receptacle outlets unless Iocated close to the <br />w all. <br />(m) Service Entrance Cables: All service entrance cables from the meter <br />socket to the panel shall be installed in either of the following three ways: <br />(1) The disconnect shall be located back of the meter in <br />inside of wall w;th conduit nipple. <br />(2) If the service entrance cable is placed in conduit from <br />fhe meter socket to the panel, no main disconnect shall <br />be required at themPter. <br />(3) Any service cable from the meter socket to the panel <br />shall have a main fuse disconnect at meter. <br />(n) The minimum size of all service disconnects shall be 50 amp, <br />(o) Service Panel Breakers: All service panel breakers, known as Piggy- <br />back, tandums, twins, thins, or any other of this type disconnect, are hereby <br />prohibited on new or repair installations. <br />(p) No trailer house will be installed and connected with the electrical ser- <br />vice, which does not have a driven ground or water pipe ground connected to the <br />trailer house and equipped with polarized plug ins. <br />5ection 6. RESPJNSIBILITY FOR SAFE WORK, This ordinance shall not <br />be construed to relieve from or lessen the responsibility or liability of any party <br />owning, operating, controlling or installing any electrical equipment for damages <br />to persons or property caused by any defect therein, nor shall the City of Paris <br />be held as assuming any such liability9 by reason of the inspection or reinspection <br />authorized herein; or the certificate of approval issued as herein provided; or by <br />reason of the approval or disapproval of any equipment authorized herein. <br />Section 7, ELECTRIC_gL INSPECTt7R, There is hereby created the office <br />of Electrical Inspector. The person chosen to fill this office shall have had at <br />least six years experience as an electrician, or s~all be a graduate of an approved <br />School of Electrical Engineering, or a licensed Eiectrical Engineer with two years <br />experience in the field of Electrical Engineering.
