to believe is imperfect or not in good state of repair; and he shall by <br />written order to the owner or agent in charge of any building or premises, <br />where any auch imperfect plumbing work may be located, or to the plumber <br />in charge of the construction of same, stop the conetruction or use of <br />same until the same shall have been properly constructed or repaired, and <br />he shall ha,ve the power to enter any house or premi$es in said City at any <br />time between the hours of 9:00 A. M. and 5;00 P. M. to inspect such <br />plumbingo He shall investigate all alleged violations of this ordinance or <br />any plumbing ordinance of this City reported to him, and file complaints <br />against all whom he may have reason to beli.eve are guilty of such viola- <br />tions, and perform such other services as may be required of him by the <br />City Council. <br />Section 15. The following inspection fees shall be collected for <br />plumbing and gas work, extensions or repairs, to-wit: For inspection of <br />any one single fixture or gas meter loop issued under any one permit, <br />One ($1. 00) Dollar. Where there are more than one fixture or gas meter <br />loop, the inspection fee sha.ll be Twenty-five (25~) cents for each additional <br />fixture or gas meter loop roughed in. The term "fixture" used in this <br />Ordinance shall include the following: Water closety catch basin, and <br />traps, slop sinks, bath tubs, kitchen sinks, urinals, wash traps, wash <br />basins, pantry sinks, drinking fountains, showers, boilers, water heaters, <br />hopper closets, floor drains where not connected to catch-basins, sewers, <br />each section of sectional fixtures, each other part of plumbing which is <br />connected to sewer pipe. <br />Section 16. The City Plumbing Inspector shall give the Owner or <br />.Agent in charge of any building, premises, or Plumber in cha.rge of any <br />work, written notice of any defects of said plumbing or changes or re- <br />pairs necessary, and such owner, agent or plumber, within five days from <br />receiving such notice shall rnake the necessary changes or repairs. <br />Section 17„ No plumbing work or drains shall be covered or conceal- <br />ed until it has U+een inspected and accepted by the City Plumbing xnspector. <br />Section 18. The plumber in cha,rge of the work shall be responsible <br />for the construction and completion, according to the Ordina.nce and regu- <br />lations governing plumbing and drainage work in this City, of all the in- <br />terior drainage and supply pipes within the buildings and their proper <br />connections to the main house drain leading to the public sewer and <br />connectinn to sewer. <br />Section 19. REQUEST FOR INSPECTTON TESTS, <br />(a) It shall be the duty of the plumber to give 24-hour notice, exclu- <br />sive of Sundays and holidays, to the City Plumbing Inspector when plumbing <br />work is ready for inspection or test. <br />(b) It shall be the duty of the Plumber to ma.ke sure that the work <br />will stand inspection and the test prescribed before giving the above noti- <br />fication. <br />,(c) If the City Plumbing Inspector finds that the work will not pass <br />the required inspection and testA the plumber sha.ll make the required <br />corrections and request a new inspection. <br />Section 20. (a) INSPECTION AND TESTS REQUIRED, <br />(1) There shall be not less than two inspections of all <br />plumbing installed in any building. <br />(2) When "rough-inT" is completed, the piping of the <br />plumbing system shall be inspected and given a water test or air test, <br />as required by the City Plumbing Inspector. <br />
