- Adik ASk <br />2 <br />wiring, devices and equipment of the City of Paris, Texas, except as otherwise <br />specifically provided in this Ordinance, arrl the sane is hereby ma.de a pa.rt of <br />this Ordinance as fhlly and to the same extent as if copied herein in full, <br />provided that the present or current issue of said National Electrica.l Code and <br />any subsequerit amendments thereto shall be cansidered as the "NATIONAL <br />ELEGTRICAL CODE" as that term is used herein, and provided flirther, that in <br />event of any conflict between the provisions of this Ordina.nce and said <br />National Electrical Code, then in such event the provisions of this Ordinance <br />shall govern. <br />Section 5. Responsibilitv for Safe Work. This ordinance shall not b e <br />construed to relieve from or lessen the responsibility or liability of ary <br />party owning, operating, controlling or installing any electrical equiF.anent <br />for daraages to persons or property caused by any defect therein, nor shall <br />the City of Paris be held as assuming any such liability, by reason of the <br />inspeetion or reinspection authorized herein; or the certificate of approval <br />issued as herein provided; or by reason of the approval or disapproval of any <br />equipment authorized herein. <br />Section 6. Electrical Inspector. There is hereby created the office of <br />Electrical Inspector. The person chosen to fill this office shall have had at <br />least six years experience as an electrician, or shall be a graduate of an <br />appraved School of Electrical Engineering, or a licensed Electrical Engineer <br />with two years experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. He shall be <br />appointed by the City Manager and shall perform the duties imposed upon him by <br />this ordinance under the supervision and direction of the Director of Public <br />Works. <br />Section 7. Authoritv of Electrical Inspector. The Electrical Inspector <br />shall have full police power and shall have the right to arrest any person who <br />violates any of the regulations of this or•dinance. It shall be the duty of any <br />manber of the Police Depart,ment to assist the Electrical Inspector in the <br />exercise of such police power upon request of said Electrical Inspectoro <br />The Electrieal Inspector shall have the right during reasonable hours <br />to enter any building or premises in the discharge of his official duties for <br />
