Mr. <br />Turinsloy stated that he found interest for double wide manufactured <br />homes. He said that presently the property is of no value to him or the <br />city but if housing was allo~ved, the homes would go on the tax roll at <br />about $60,000. Mr. Turinsky stated that he would be willing to accept <br />any restrictions that the Commission or Council would place on the <br />homes if these homes Were allowed. There are 6 lots facing W. Cherry <br />and 2 lots facing Plum Street. <br /> <br />Sybil Colson, 819 Lamar, spoke in opposition to the petition stating that <br />Mr. Turinsky would be making a mobile home park which would <br />decrease the property value in the neighborhood. Ms. Colson also <br />stated that this housing is not in compliance with the Master Plan which <br />would affect and burden the infrastructure. She stated that homes <br />~vould be jammed up against each other and would be an eye sore. <br /> <br />Ms. Melton, 550 20th NW, opposed the petition stating that there is a <br />trailer park in the 200 block of 19th NW. <br /> <br />Scotty Longshore, 615 20th NW, spoke in opposition to the petition and <br />presented a petition with 17 names and addresses of neighbors that also <br />opposed manufactured homes in the area. <br /> <br />Approximately 15 to 20 people in the audience raised their hands in <br />support of opposition to the petition. '.,, <br /> <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing svas declared <br />closed. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of A1Turinsky for a change <br />in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2), to a One- <br />Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF-3) With Specific Use Permit (39) <br />Mobile Homes, Lots 1 thru 8, Block 11, Westside Addition, being the <br />2000 Block of W. Cherry and W. Plum Streets. <br /> <br /> <br />
