CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE. <br /> <br />SIDEWALKS ON SHORT STREET. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ordering- sidewalks to be bnilt on Short street. <br /> <br />Be it ordained by the city council of the city of Paris: <br /> <br />SEC. 1. That sidewalks are hereby ordered to be built on <br />both sides of Short street from Price street to Kaufman street at <br />all places where good and lawful sidewalks do not already exist; <br />said sidewalks shall be built six feet wide and shall be constructed <br />and be made of brick, stone, concrete or wood, if wood is used <br />the lumber must be not less than two inches thick and not more <br />than four inches wide, and shall be securely fastend to a good and <br />substantial foundation, and of whatever material i~ may be built, <br />such sidewalks shall in aU respects conform to the ordinan¿e now <br />in force regulating the building of sidewalks; all such sidewalks <br />shall be built under the supervision of the city engineer and at the <br />expense of the property owners fronting or abutting on said street <br />between said points, and that the sidewalks herein ordered to built <br />shall be commenced and completed within the time required by an <br />ordinance heretofore adopted, and that the required notice be <br />given. <br />SEC. 2. <br /> <br />That this ordinance take effect from and after its <br /> <br />passage. <br />Adopted Sept. 23, 1889, approved Sept. 24, I889' <br />Attest, M.
