All such sidewalks shall be built under the supervision of the city en- gineer and at the expense of the property owners fronting or abut- ting on said street between said points, and that the sidewalks herein orgered to be built shall be commenced and completed within the time required by an ordinance heretofore adopted, and that the required notice be given. ÌI Be it ordaz'ned by the city council of the city of Paris: S~C. 1. That Bonham street is hereby ordered to be widened nine feet on the south side thereof in front of and on the property of the R. E. Eakin heirs, and the street aud public improvement corp.mittee is ordered to confer with said heirs or their legally au- thorized guardian as to the amount of damages, and if said com- mittee cannot agree with them they shall report to the mayor their inability to agree, when the mayor shall inaugurate the proper pro- ceeding to condemn said property.
