<br /> <br /> <br />Fees and Salaries. <br /> <br />75 <br /> <br />the sum of nine hundred dollars per annum, to be paid monthly, <br />on a warrant drawn in the usual manner. <br />The city marshal .shall receive the sum of fifty dollars per <br />month and the same fees in cases tried and convicted in the re- <br />corder's court where the defendant pays the fine as are allowed <br />constables under the Statutes of the State of Texas; where the fine <br />and costs are worked out, or laid out in the city prison the mar- <br />shal shall receive no fee. The city marshal shall give a bond in <br />the sum of two thousand dollars, payable to the mayor of the city <br />and his successor in office, with two or more good and sufficient <br />sureties, to be approved by the city council and conditioned for a <br />faithful performance of his official duties. <br />The city attorney shall receive a salary of nine hundred dol- <br />lars per annum, to be paid monthly, and no fees, but in all cases <br />the recorder shall tax up and collect in cases of a plea of not guilty <br />on conviction, five dollars, and in pleas of guilty, a fee of two and <br />one-half dollars, and pay the same into the city treasury, <br />The recorder of the city shall receive a salary of five hundre d <br />dollars per annum, to be paid monthly, and he shall receive no <br />other fees or perquisites of office; but in all criminal cases in <br />which the defendant may be convicted, he shall tax up the fees <br />that may be now or hereafter allowed, and collect the same and <br />pay them into the city treasury, together with the fine. ' <br />The city engineer shall receive a salary of nine hundred dol- <br />lars per annum, to be paid monthly, and in addition to the duties <br />heretofore required of him, he shall perform such additional duties <br />as may be required of him by the street and public improvement <br />committee. <br />The street commissioner shall receive a salary of sixty dollars <br />per month, and he shall perform such duties as may berequired <br />of him by the street and public improvement committee. <br />The sanitary policeman shall receive a salary of fifty dollars <br />per month. <br />The city secretary shall receive a salary of five hundred dol- <br />1ars per annum, to be paid monthly, and when he may be required <br />to perform the duties of clerk of the recorder's court he shall <br /> <br />-:--------¡---' '--"",""--' '--"""- ..-" --------0---'-"-----"'--"- ,~-""- ."" <br /> <br />~' <br /> <br />-,,---~ <br />-----~-, <br /> <br /> <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />
