The motor controller shall be compatable with the siren specifications <br />started in Part I above. <br />B. The Controller shall contain all equipment necessary to start and <br />run the siren for 3-5 minutes. <br />C. The Controller shall be capable of operation by a dry contact switch <br />or relay and shall be tatally suitable for outdoor operation. <br />D. The starter assembly components and wiring shall conform to the <br />National Electric Code with respect to the device it is to protect <br />and control, and shall contain clearly marked terminal leads for <br />interconnection. <br />RADIO CONTROLLER (FOR EACH SIREN <br />A. Each siren unit shall be activated by a radio controlled tirner <br />system. ~ <br />B. The receiver shall be solid state with digital address activation ~~.,~6 y~ <br />of relay outputs to prevent falsing. (Continous tone, chord tone, <br />or read systems are not acceptable.) C. The siren timer shall control the Attack, Alert, and Cancel test <br />function. <br />D. The receiver shall operate a Frequency: Mhz 155.250. <br />E. The system shall be supplied with an appropriate antenna, inter- <br />connecting cable assembly, enclosure, and mounting hardware. <br />F. The receiver, decoder, and their components shall be of such <br />technical quality as to insure proper and timely operation of the <br />system and to minimize to the greatest extent any technical mal- <br />functions. <br />G. Two encoders capable of activating the above receiver/decoder shall <br />be supplied. The Encoders shall be the Fisher-Pierce Model 2606 -260 7A, <br />or equal capable of encoding attack, alert and cancel functions. N• a <br />One Encoder will be installed and interfaced into the City's <br />existing transmitter at the City Police Department. The second <br />encoder will be installed and interfaced into the City's existing <br />transmitter at the City Hall Emergency Operations Center. Both will <br />operate on Mhz. 155.250. <br />IV. INSTALLATION OF SYSTEM <br />'A. All work shall be done by the system manufacturer and/or under the <br />supervision of the system manufacturer's authorized supplier- <br />installer. <br />B. The system manufacturer/supplier/installer shall furnish all ne- <br />cessary labor, materials, equipment, accessories and services as <br />necessary to perform all wark in a highly professional manner in <br />accordance with the system manufacturer's specifications and standards <br />where applicable and as otherwise setforth in these specifications. <br />C. For sirens up to 125 db the mounting pipe shall be steel pole with <br />a minimum of seven inch outside diameter and shall have a wall thick- <br />ness of not less than 3/8 inch. For sirens of 135db there shall be <br />(2) two poles with same specifications as in single pole mentioned <br />in previous sentence. <br />D. The mounting pipe shall be furnished to mount with all components <br />with welded-on brackets for a radio controller, motor controller, <br />electric disconnect and any other components necessary for proper <br />
