SC. 15 Insurance <br />The CON'TRACTOR shaZl obtain, maintain during the life of the <br />Contract, and provide copies to the Owner, of the following in- <br />surance policies which shall be obtained from insurance company <br />licensed to do business in the State of Texas, in the amount and <br />for the purposes stated and subject to the OWPIER`S approval. <br />Insurance policies shall be obtained by the CONTRP.CTOR and <br />approved by the OWNER prior to the commencement of the work. <br />(a) rATorkmen's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance <br />Workmen's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance <br />in the amount and terms required by applicable statute <br />for all employees engaged in work on the project under <br />this Contract, and in case of any such work sublet, the <br />Contractor shall require the subcontractor similarly to <br />provide Workmen's Compensation Insurance for all the <br />latter's employees to be engaged in such work unless such <br />employees are covered by the protection afforded by the <br />Contractor's Workmen's Compensation Insurance. <br />(b) Public Liability and Property Damage <br />The Contractor's Public Liability Insurance shall be in <br />an amount not less than $100,000 for injuries, including <br />accidental death, to any one person, and subject to the <br />same limit for each person, in an amount not less than <br />$300,000 on account of one accident, and contractor's <br />Property Damage Insurance in an amount not less than <br />$50,000. <br />SC. 16 Disposal of Waste and Surplus Excavation <br />All excavated earth in excess of Frhat required for backfilling <br />shall be removed from the job site and disposed of in a satis- <br />factory manner. <br />SC. 17 Guaranty Against Defective Work <br />The CONTRACTOR shall indemnify the OWNER against any reoairs <br />which may become necessary to any part of the work pex'farmed under <br />the contract, arising from aefective workmanship or materials used <br />therein, for a period of two (2) years from the date of final <br />acceptance of the work. <br />SC. 18 Cleanup <br />At the conclusion of the work, all tools, temporary structures <br />and materials belonging to the CONTRACTOR sha.ll be promotly re- <br />maved and all dirt, rubbish and otller foreign substances shall be <br />disposed of. <br />The CONTRACTOR shall thoroughly clean al.l equipment and <br />SC-4 <br />
