City Council Meeting <br />July 5, 2001 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />City Manager Malone read the ordinance changing the zoning from a One- <br />Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3 With <br />Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Homes on Lots 1 through 8, Block 11, <br />Westside Addition. <br /> <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by <br />Mayor Pro Tem Manning, to deny the zoning change. The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing open on the petition of Pat <br />Murehead for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />(SF-2) to a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) With Specific Use <br />Permit (25) Day Nursery on Lot 4, Block 2, Hillcrest Addition, being number <br />2380 Beverly Drive. <br /> <br />Mayor Pfiester called for proponents to appear and Pat Murehead, P.O. Box <br />6401, appeared speaking in favor of her petition. Ms. Murehead advised the <br />City Council that she planned to have a child care facility at this location and <br />would have a maximum of twelve children, from infants to four year olds and <br />would operate from 7:00 am until 5:30 pm. She told Council that she would <br />be state monitored. Ms. Murehead advised that the house is in good shape, but <br />the yard would have to be cleaned. <br /> <br />Mr. Louis Quisenberry, 2130 Beverly Drive, was present speaking in favor of <br />the petition. Ms. Quisenberry said the fence had been removed in order to <br />mow the yard and will be put back up. Mr. Quisenberry said he has lived on <br />Beverly Drive for twenty years and would welcome this lady to their <br />neighborhood. <br /> <br />Mayor Pfiester called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
