If the Construction Manager or Architect rejects the Contractor's proposed substitution <br /> submittal within the above time limit, the Contractor may make only one <br /> additional request for substitution within same category and that only within 15 <br /> days after the rejection of first request. No further proposals for substitution <br /> will be recognized after this final submittal, except under the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. If the Contractor fails to order materials in ample time to avoid delays in <br /> construction, the Contractor shall substitute material specifically selected <br /> by the Architect at no extra cost to the Owner, or <br /> <br /> C. Failure of the Contractor to propose substitutions within these time limits will be <br /> deemed sufficient cause for denying any further requests for substitutions. <br /> <br />2.06 CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCEPTED SUBSTITUTIONS <br /> <br /> A. Acceptance of substitutions shall not relieve the Contractor from responsibility for <br /> complying with requirements of the Contract Documents. <br /> <br /> B.
