As specified in Divisions 00 and 01 apply to all work in this Section.. <br /> <br />1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> <br /> A. Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for excavation, filling, <br /> backfrlling, rough and finish grading, exterior trench excavation and backfill for <br /> utility lines, and relateditems necessary to complete all work shown on the Drawings <br /> and/or specified herein. <br /> <br />1.03 COORDINATION WITH OTHER SECTIONS <br /> <br /> A. Trenching and backfilling for interior utility lines up to a point five feet outside of building <br /> area are specified in Section 15010 - PLUMBING. <br /> <br /> B. Concrete work, electrical work, mechanical work, are specified in their respective sections. <br /> <br /> C. Soil poisoning is specified in Section 02281 - SOIL TREATMENT FOR TERMITE <br /> CONTROL. <br /> <br />1.04 ORDINANCES AND PERMITS <br /> <br /> A. The Contractor(s) shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and <br /> ordinances and obtain the required permits. <br /> <br />1.05 EXISTING UTILITY LINES <br /> <br /> A. The existence of active and abandoned underground utility lines within the construction <br /> area is not definitively known other than those indicated in their approximate locations <br /> on the Drawings. Contractor(s) shall take all precautions and measures to locate lines <br /> before excavating. <br /> <br /> B. Should any unknown line be encountered during excavation, the Contractor(s) shall <br /> immediately notify the Construction Manager of such discovery. The Architect shall <br /> then investigate and issue instructions for the preservation or disposition of the <br /> unknown line. <br /> <br /> Section 02100 <br /> Page 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
