This format will be used for the Application & Certificate for Payment, AIA <br />Documents G702 & G703, and shall not be deviated from. If the bid breakdown is <br />inadequate, the Architect or Construction Manager reserves the right to require conformance <br />with an alternate format. <br /> <br />Proposal shall include a listing of any subcontractors which shall be subject to Architect's and <br />Owner's approval. <br /> <br />The bid documents shall contain a Description of Methodology for execution of the work, list <br />of comparable verifiable experience on similar projects and how this knowledge and <br />experience will assure performance with the requirements of the Project Documents and <br />mandatory historic preservation standards. This Description of Methodology should stand <br />alone and act to fully describe the Bidder's understanding of dealing with historic <br />structures. Please include a firm resume with verifiable work experience in historic <br />preservation and references. <br /> <br />1.06 EXAMINATION OF SITE: <br /> <br />It is the Bidders' responsibility to examine the site prior to submitting any Bid for work. No <br />allowance will be made subsequently for the Bidders' failure to familiarize themselves with <br />existing site conditions. <br /> <br />1.07 DISCREPANCIES AND AMBIGUITIES: <br /> <br />Any bidder in doubt as to intent or meaning of any portion of Bidding Documents may <br />make inquiry to the Construction Manager for written clarification not less than seven working <br />days before deadline specified for receipt of bids. Neither the Owner or Architect will be <br />responsible for any oral answers or inquiries. <br /> <br />1.08 MATERIALS AND SUBSTITUTIONS: <br /> <br />No pre-qualification or approval of methods, materials or equipment will be given during <br />Bidding period. No substitutions will be allowed unless in express written form by <br />Architect, and such requests may only be made during the proscribed period for substitution <br />requests. <br /> <br />1.09 BID DUE DATE: <br /> <br />Bid documents are due on August 28, 2001 at 3:00 PM at the City of Pads <br />City Council Chambers. The bid documents must be delivered to the City on or before the <br />deadline. Any documents delivered late will not be opened.
