Working pressure while applying treating solution shall be held to that which <br /> is applicable to and safe under the conditions at the sitebeing <br /> treated. <br /> <br /> b. Drill and treat at a rate consistent with the pesticide label. <br /> <br /> c. Treat through ail floors, aiong both sides of ail partitions and wails, and all <br /> cracks and expansion joints according to label directions. Do not <br /> harm, alter or drill through existing materials. <br /> <br /> d. Drill one hole at each plumbing or utility penetration through ground floor <br /> slab and treat according to label instructions. <br /> <br /> e. Reinstall carpets as applicable/necessary. Installation shall be done by a <br /> competent commerciai caxpet installer. <br /> <br /> f. Replace any finish/finish materiais which are contaminated by spilled <br /> chemicais. <br /> <br /> 5. The above-ground areas infested with subterranean termites shail be treated as <br /> appropriate with a proven, effective insecticide to eliminate those termites. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br /> A. Asbestos Prohibition: Only EPA approved materials shall be used. The Contractor <br /> shail insure that all materiais incorporated in the project are EPA approved. <br /> <br /> B. Chemicals shall be aqueous solutions of Dursban TC, Torpedo, Dragnet, Demon TC or <br /> Prevail FT and shall be used in accordance with the labels and provisions related to <br /> the use of those pesticides as adopted by the State of Texas and the Federal Insecticide, <br /> Fungicide and Rodenticide Act. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 APPLICATION AND RATES <br /> A. Whenever possible, the solution shail be applied not more than 24 hours before the <br /> pouring of concrete over affected areas. <br /> <br /> B. The treatment shall be applied to dry materiai whenever possible, but in any case <br /> shall not be applied under conditions during which the soil does not readily absorb the <br /> solution. <br /> <br /> C.
