Paris Santa Fe-Fris¢o Depot Rehabilitation © K[YSTON[ ARCHIT[CTS <br /> July 10, 2001 <br /> <br />SECTION 03300 REINFORCED CONCRETE <br /> <br />SECTION 03300: REINFORCED CONCRETE <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br /> 1.01 GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> A. As specified in Divisions 00 and 01 apply to all work in this Section.. <br /> <br /> 1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> <br /> A. Work Included: Provision of all formwork for cast-in-place concrete, installation of <br /> embedded items, reinforcement for all concrete unless specifically noted otherwise, <br /> cast-in-place concrete, foundation repair at basement, new walkways, new curbs, new <br /> ramps, new gutters, new concrete floors, tests and inspection. Provision of all labor, <br /> material, equipment and appurtenances to complete all concrete work indicated and/or <br /> as specified herein. <br /> <br /> B. LOCAL CODES AND ORDINANCES: Wherever provisions of the Southern Building <br /> Code or the local current ordinances are more stringent than the following specifications <br /> and standards, the local codes and ordinances shall govern. <br /> <br />1.03 SUBMITTALS: <br /> <br /> 5. Analysis: Analyze existing original concrete walk'ways with respect to color, texture, <br /> aggregate and finish as required to formulate and install new concrete to match <br /> appearance in-k/nd. Determine composition by visual inspection of portion of existing <br /> concrete scheduled for demolition by crashing and examining an amount adequate to <br /> determine the characteristics of composition. <br /> <br /> B. Samples: Prepare field samples of walkway concrete for Architect's review of materials, <br /> application, texture and color: <br /> <br /> 1. Field Samples: walkway subcontractor shall prepare sample mock-up(s) of each <br /> proposed concrete mixture for sidewalks. Resubmit samples as requested by Architect <br /> until acceptable application, color, and texture is achieved. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br /> <br /> A. General <br /> <br /> 1. Cement: Portland Cement shall conform to the Standard Specifications for Portland <br /> Cement, ASTM Designation C-150, latest version Type I, or Type III. Up to 20% <br /> of cementitious materials may be fly ash from an appwved source for normal weight <br /> concrete. Cement used in walkways shall match existing original concrete walkways <br /> in color, texture and finish. Color matching may be achieved through the addition of <br /> concrete admixture colorants according to manufacturer's specifications. The <br /> Section 03300 <br /> Page 1-6 <br /> <br /> <br />
