As specified in Divisions 00 and 01 apply to all work in this Section.. <br /> <br />1.02 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> A. Work Included: Restoration/repair of damaged and decayed existing wood components <br /> including, but not limited to, structural framing, joists, studs, beams, headers, <br /> plates, exterior siding, trim, posts, columns, lath, window sills, frames, jambs, stiles, <br /> rails and sash, all interior trim. <br /> <br /> B. Extent and classification of work to be confm'ned with Architect during building <br /> inspection prior to preparation of proposal or bidding. <br /> <br /> C. See Section 07900 Joint Sealers, for specifications on wood fillers and consolidators to <br /> be used for work in this Section. <br /> <br />1.03 INCORPORATED DOCUMENTS: <br /> A. Secretary of the Interior Standards for Rehabilitation. <br /> <br /> B. National Parks Service Technical Bulletins. <br /> <br />1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE: <br /> <br /> A. Confer with Architect prior to commencement of and throughout wood <br /> restoration/repair work for direction regarding work extent, restoration classification <br /> and methodology. Architect shall be sole determiner of extent and methodology of <br /> wood restoration work. <br /> <br /> B. Protect all work in progress from exposure to elements, especially moisture. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 General: <br /> <br /> A. Industry tested, name brand compounds including liquid fungicide, emulsible <br /> concentrate termaticide specially formulated to prevent reinfestation by texmites, <br /> exterior varnish, paraffin wax, mineral spirits/turpentine, linseed oil putty. Additional <br /> wood products and fasteners, see SECTIONS 06100, 06200, 07900. <br /> <br /> B.
