Work <br /> phases requiring inspection are: <br /> <br /> Phase 1 Removal, sorting and on-site storage of existing roofing tile. <br /> Inspection and repair of roof substrate. <br /> Installation of roofing felt. <br /> <br /> Phase 2 Installation of flashing and roof accessories. <br /> Phase 3 Installation of salvaged original roofing tile and replica roofing tile. <br /> Phase 4 Flat tile substrate repair at dormers <br /> Phase 5 Tile replacement at dormers. <br /> <br /> B. Coordinate work of this Section with interfacing and adjoining work for proper sequencing <br /> of each installation. <br /> <br /> C. Do not schedule tile removal during forecasted periods of inclement weather. Provide <br /> adequate temporary waterproofing during periods of inclement weather. Insure best <br /> possible weather resistance and durability of the work and protection of materials and <br /> finishing. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MATERIALS: <br /> <br /> A. Provide all materials necessary and incidental to the complete scope of work. <br /> <br /> B. Tile shall match existing historic roof file in composition, color, dimension, configuration <br /> and installation methodology. Tile shall be as custom manufactured by Ludowici Inc. to <br /> match existing historic tile. Acceptable distributors include JEH Company, 13910 RR Road <br /> 620 N, Austin, Texas 78729, 512-219-6226. <br /> <br /> C. Substrate: Repair or replace damaged substrate in-kind and as shown on Drawings. <br /> <br /> D. Roofing Felt: two layers of 30lb felt applied to all substrate surfaces. <br /> <br /> E. Battens: Existing wood battens shall be replaced with preservative treated wood battens of <br /> identical size, shape and configuration; as well as supplementary battens if required by <br /> Construction Manager. <br /> <br /> F. Tile Fasteners: Copper nails and wires shall be used throughout for general fastening of <br /> tiles to subs~ate. Provide copper tabs, "tingle" fasteners or copper wire/nail assemblies <br /> where required to secure tiles at all locations where tiles are cut and fitted at valleys and roof <br /> penetrations. <br /> <br /> G. Flashings: all existing flashing, gutters and downspouts, with exception of the leader boxes <br /> and downspouts at the Tower, shall be replaced, see Section 07600 Flashing & Sheet Metal. <br /> <br /> Section 07200 <br /> Page 2-5 <br /> <br /> <br />
