Wood Windows: Comply with General Requirements of NWMA <br /> "IndnstryStandard for Wood Window Units 1.5.2", except to <br /> extent more stringent requirements are specified herein or on <br /> Drawings. <br /> <br />1.04 SUBMITTALS: <br /> <br /> A. Existing Window Restoration: Prepare a sample window unit representing typical <br /> scope and standard of quality (in accordance with Sections 6700 Wood Restoration <br /> and 07900 Sealants) for inspection and written approval by Architect. No other <br /> work is to be executed on the windows until this approval is obtained. <br /> <br /> B. New Replica Windows: <br /> <br /> 1. Product Data: Submit window manufacturer's product data for each type <br /> of wood window, including details of core and edge construction, <br /> trims, and finishing specifications for factory finish. <br /> <br /> 2. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings indicating location and size of <br /> each window, elevation of each kind of window, details of <br /> construction, location and extent of hardware and other pertinent data. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 NEW REPLICA WINDOWS <br /> <br /> A. Provide custom replica wood windows to match in-kind the size, shape, configuration, <br /> profile, light pattern and style of existing original windows or as shown on Drawings. <br /> <br />2.02 MATERIALS: <br /> <br /> A. Wood, Existing Windows: Provide in-kind replacement of wood for Existing Windows <br /> where required for replacement components or splicing. Provide restoration and repair <br /> materials as specified on Sections 06200 Wood Restoration and 07900 Sealants. <br /> <br /> B. Wood, New Replica Windows: <br /> <br /> 1. Tower Windows: Vertical Grain Redwood or Mahogany, free of finger-joints, treated <br /> with water repellent preservative and kiln-dried to a moisture content of 6 to 12 <br /> percent. <br /> <br /> 2. All Other Windows: Clear vertical grain yellow pine or Douglas Fir, free of finger-joints, <br /> treated with water repellent preservative and kiln-dried to a moisture content of 6 <br /> to 12 percent. <br /> <br /> C. Fasteners: Comply with requirements of ANSI/NWMA 1.5.2 for fabrication and with <br /> manufacturer's recommendations and standard industry practices for type and size of <br /> installation fasteners. <br /> <br /> 1.
