Line up carpet so that ~ lines of carpet match as woven, both in width and <br /> length, inexact seam matches will be rejected and must be replaced at <br /> Contractor's sole expense. <br /> <br /> 2. Provide carpet in largest possible lengths using a minimum number of <br /> sections. <br /> <br />3.03 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Apply carpet in strict accordance with manufacturer's instructions. <br /> <br /> 1. Do not attach pad directly to floor. Piece together using fewest number of <br /> pieces possible. Tape and bond seams with special seam cement. One step <br /> tape seaming will not be approved. <br /> <br /> 2. Cut evenly along circulation path, cut and fit evenly around projections, <br /> comers and trim strips. Inexact cuts and fits will be rejected and must be <br /> replaced at Contractor's sole expense. <br /> <br /> C. Securely fasten carpet binder bars to floor wherever carpet meets existing <br /> flooring and no threshold or other binder bar is indicated. Reinstall shoe mold at <br /> baseboards with finish nails, counter-sunk. <br /> <br /> D. Finish installation shall be free from tacks, scraps, carpet ripples, scallops, puckers <br /> and other such defects of installation. All defective work must be replaced at <br /> Contractor's sole expense. <br /> <br /> E. Allow Owner to review carpet scraps and retain any he chooses. Remove remainder <br /> of scraps from site. <br /> <br /> F. Leave carpet clean and free of stains, blemishes and other foreign material. <br /> Remove loose threads and vacuum clean. Steam clean any areas which are soiled or <br /> matted. <br /> <br /> G.
