We actively monitor all legislation in the property tax area. We subscribe to the <br />Texas Legislative Services thatprovides instant access to legislative actions. Our <br />attorneys regularly testify before Legislative Committees, consult with members of <br />the Legislature on property tax matters, and assist clients in passage of bills <br />amending the Tax Code. <br />* MVBA can assist with the training of tax office personnel in the area of property <br />tax law. Several of our Attorneys are certified instructors and regularly teach tax <br />education courses required by the State for certification of tax professionals. <br />(10) State of the Art Computer Capabilities (See Pages 24 through 26 of this <br />proposal) <br />* MVBA has the finest computer capabilities and data processing system available <br />supporting our delinquent tax collection program. We are fully compatible with the <br />computer hardware and software used to collect your property taxes. <br />* We are able to generate the following listings, reports, and schedules which are avail- <br />able to the City Attorney and tax office. <br />List of Substantial Delinquent Accounts in Dollar Order <br />Alpha-cross Index reflecting all accounts in same name <br />Delinquent Detail Listing - Alpha Order <br />Delinquent Detail Listing - Geo Order <br />D.T.R. Calculation Schedule <br />Exception List reflecting tax accounts which are coded as <br />Suit, Mail Return, Quarterly Payments, Over-65 Deferrals, etc. <br />* The sophistication of our computer system makes possible the statistical reporting <br />capabilities. The suit and bankruptcy activity tracking system also provides <br />valuable information to the Firm and our clients. <br />(11) Compensation and The Contract <br />McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen provides all the elements of our delinquent <br />tax collection and legal representation program for a contingent fee of fifteen <br />percent (15%) of the delinquent taxes, and accrued penalties and interest <br />collected. <br />Our fee is passed on directly to the delinquent taxpayer through the adoption of <br />the additional penalty provided by Section 33.07 of the Property Tax Code and <br />Section 33.48 of the Property Tax Code which allows the recovery of attorneys' <br />fees. <br />McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen <br />
