The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-137, approving the form of the Intergovernmental <br />Agreement for Consulting Services with the Paris IndependentSchool District <br />for a presentation of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E) Program <br />for one hundred eighty (180) days throughout the 2000-2001 school year for <br />students in pre-kindergarten through grade 5 at the Givens, Justiss, and Aikin <br />campuses, was presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, <br />seconded by Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the next item on the agenda was a resolution <br />rejecting all bids for the purchase of the Hewlett-Packard Design Jet 755CM <br />Plotter, Serial Number ESB6A01892. It has been determined that this plotter <br />could be a usable backup for the current equipment. Mayor Pfiester advised <br />the City Council that this item has been tabled and a motion was needed to <br />bring it from the table. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, to bring the above item from the table. The motion carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-138, repealing Resolution No. 2000-038 and rejecting all <br />bids for the purchase of a Hewlett-Packard Design Jet 755CM plotter, serial <br />number ESB6A01892, located in the Engineering Department, was presented. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Bell, for <br />approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2000-139, authorizing the execution of Amendment No. One to <br />the Water Service Contract between the City of Paris and Marvin-Jennings- <br />Clardy Water Corporation to provide an extension of the original agreement for <br />a four (4) month duration, was presented. <br />City Manager Malone explained that during the course of the initial <br />discussions with Marvin-Jennings-Clardy Water Corporation, it appeared there <br />were several issues that they wanted to discuss and to resolve to the mutual <br />benefit of both parties and as a consequence, a brief extension to the existing <br />contract is proposed to enable the parties to continue these ongoing <br />
