He said the city's regulations are more stringent than the <br />state's. <br />Mr. Caton came forward addressing the City Council again stating that this is <br />going to be a new billboard and it will be one of the nicest ones in the city. <br />No one else appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-074 <br />AN ORDINANCE AlVENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A <br />COMIVERCIAL DISTRICT ~O) WITH SPECIF'IC USE PERMIT (52) SIGNS <br />AND BILLBOARDS ON LOT 2, CITY BLOCK 318, ON PROPERTY <br />BELONGING TO TWT HOLDINGS, LTD., SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORIVERLY DESIGNED AS A COMIVERCIAL DISTRICT ~O); <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMIVIF-RCIAL DISTRICT ~O) <br />WITH SPECIF'IC (52) SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS SO ESTABLISHED; <br />PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING <br />ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, <br />2002, WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Plata to <br />accept the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to adopt the <br />ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the next item on the agenda was a public hearing <br />to consider the petition of Greg Caton for a change in zoning from a Commercial <br />District O) With Specific Use Permit (52) Signs and Billboards on Lot 5, City <br />Block 307, being located at 2805 N. Main Street. <br />City Manager Malone advised the City Council that Mr. Caton wished to withdraw <br />
