City Council Meeting <br />December 7, 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for consideration of and action on an ordinance <br />amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, changing the zoning from an <br />Agricultural District (A) to an Agricultural District (A) With Specific Use <br />Permit - Day Care Center (25) on Lot 9, City Block 307-B, being located in <br />the 400 Block of County Road 32900. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-061 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING AN <br />AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - DAY CARE <br />CENTER (25) ON LOT 9, CITY BLOCK 307-B, ON PROPERTY BELONGING <br />TO GENE AND LIBBY HERTZOG, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT <br />(A); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT <br />(A) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT - DAY CARE CENTER (25) SO <br />ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT <br />HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 2001, <br />WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Manning, for adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing open to considerthe petition of <br />Don A. Ensey for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District <br />No. 2(SF-2) to a Light Industrial District (LI) on Lot 1, City Block 276, being <br />located in the 1100 Block of Clement Road. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for proponents to appear, and Don Ensey, 1235 <br />Mockingbird, appeared in behalf of his petition. Mr. Ensey said his plan is <br />to clean the property up and develop it for commercial warehouses along <br />Clement Road and possibly along Fitzhugh Avenue; but there is no <br />agreement for any type of business at this time and he planned to retain <br />the property. <br />
