City Council Meeting <br />December 7, 2000 <br />Page 3 <br />Mayor Pfiester called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for consideration of and action on an ordinance <br />amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, changing the zoning from a One- <br />Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2) to a Light Industrial District (LI) on Lot <br />1, City Block 276, being located in the 1100 Block of Clement Road. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-0662 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A <br />LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 276, ON <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO DON ENSEY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LIGHT <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) SO ESTABLISHED, PROVIDING FOR A <br />PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 2001, WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Plata, <br />for adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing open on the petition of Ray <br />Spencer for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />(SF-2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lot 12, City Block 222-B, located <br />at 2636 E. Price Street. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for proponents to appear. Ray Spencer, Highway <br />271 North, Paris, Texas, appeared before the City Council stating that the <br />reason he wanted to rezone this property is because it will make all of his <br />property the same zoning. Mr. Spencer said he has no specific use for this <br />property at this time. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />
