City Council Meeting December 7, 2000 Page 3 Mayor Pfiester called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed. Mayor Pfiester called for consideration of and action on an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, changing the zoning from a One- Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2) to a Light Industrial District (LI) on Lot 1, City Block 276, being located in the 1100 Block of Clement Road. ORDINANCE NO. 2000-0662 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 276, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DON ENSEY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) SO ESTABLISHED, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 2001, WAS PRESENTED. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Plata, for adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing open on the petition of Ray Spencer for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lot 12, City Block 222-B, located at 2636 E. Price Street. Mayor Pfiester called for proponents to appear. Ray Spencer, Highway 271 North, Paris, Texas, appeared before the City Council stating that the reason he wanted to rezone this property is because it will make all of his property the same zoning. Mr. Spencer said he has no specific use for this property at this time. Mayor Pfiester called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed.
