MR <br />1 <br />Division 6-B <br />Finish Carp. <br />FINISH CARPENTRY <br />_ GENERAL: Furnish all labor and materials shown on plans . <br />~and described herein relating to Finish Carpentry. All <br />finish carpentry and related materials shall be guaranteed <br />as called for under "General Conditions". <br />SCOPE: This section includes all items of Finish Carpentry <br />as shown, called for, and required includinq: interior <br />woodwork and trim, paneling, shelving, cabinet and millwork. <br />The following are furnished and installed under other <br />;divisions as listed be3ow: <br />Gypsum Drywall Division 9-B <br />Suspended Ceilings Division 9-E <br />Wall & Ceiling Insulation Division 7-B <br />Caulking Division 7-D <br />Wood Doors Division 9-F <br />Doors & Windows Division 8-A & B <br />Hardware Division 8-C <br />SHOP DRAWINGS:' The mill shall submit shop drawings to <br />the Architect for approval on all millwork. Such drawings <br />shall show the exact location of attachments necessary <br />for the installation of wall cabinets, counters, shelves, <br />seats, etc., and carpenter shall provide required bucks <br />and headers. No work shall be started until such drawings <br />have been approved. <br />SHELVING: Where plans call for shelving, same shall be <br />of depth and length shown on plan and shall be 5 shelves <br />high for storage and 2 shelves with hanger rod in closets <br />unless otherwise shown. All shelving except as otherwise <br />called for shall be 5/8" A-B plywood of width shown with <br />screen mould on all exposed edges, and supported on 3/4"x2" <br />cleats in all places where it intersects walls. Provide <br />vertical 1 x 3 support 3' - 6" o.c. <br />WORKMANSHIP: All methods and workmanship shall comply <br />to Architectural Woodwork Institute Quality Standard. <br />Upon completion, all exposed surfaces shall be left clean, <br />smooth, and free of hammer marks and other imperfections. <br />Nails in finish work shall be set by the Carpenter. All <br />finish work shall be hand sanded and left clean and smooth <br />for the Painter. Avoid sharp corners on wood trim. All <br />trim joints shall be mitered or coped. Such corners shalJ <br />be sanded slightly rounding. <br />13 O <br />
