Just keep up Dragon Park. It's the best place to walk in Paris.
Need to connect parks with Trail de Paris
Parks make a very positive statement about a communities health. (esthetics, physical & mental)
Programming summer youth programming at parks where kids can come & participate in games /activities (box hockey,
board games, crafts, horseshoes, etc) and be led by a playground leader - free drop -in ability
Paris needs parks for dog owners and at least two that would be safe for seniors.
Paris should have higher priorities than park surveys.
The Trail de Paris is an exercise facility used by all ages and should be afforded the same level of maintenance as other areas
in the city of Paris. (Mowing, repair, etc.)
Pay for with sales tax - that way it hits everyone.
More pocket/small parks - maybe donated, vacant lots? Write off for donors. Can parks be fenced and opened at specific
times ??
Paris has lots of small parks with nothing to encourage people to use them. The parks need to have better facilities that
inspire activities.
I have moved 7 years ago from Europe and could not believe you don't have separate ways for bikes and no sidewalks. I
can only drive with my car to work, even though it is only 2 miles away from my house because there is no safe way to walk
or bike. No wonder we all get fat! Thank you for doing this!
The Trail de Paris provides people of our age to walk safely. It is one of the most important facilities Paris offers to its
citizens!
These parks need to be in areas that will be safe for everyone!!
We need swimming pools - build one for younger children and another for older.
Charge rental fees for certain park facilities such as softball field, pavilion, etc.
Upgrade for tweens and teens
Provide safe, family oriented outdoor recreation.
We need mountain bike trails
The parks are not safe in my opinion for smaller children, there is not a good park option and the bigger kids (mine included)
run over the smaller ones.
North West Section Comments
Many people in Paris need jobs
Develop Lake Crook area and 271 North leading to Lake Crook. Dr. Hashmi's plan is excellent!
Lake Crook was at one time the centerpiece of picnic and recreation area for Lamar County. The City has neglected the
area for years. It could again be a drawing card for homes, industry, shopping, restaurants, etc. for Paris.
Make sure to keep restrooms clean
