Myers to approve the Final Plat subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated October 6, 1997. The motion was seconded by Louis Yates, Jr. and carried by a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays. A motion was made by Eva Flenniken for Reeves Hayter to return to the meeting and seconded by Bobby L. Myers. The motion carried with 7 ayes and 0 nays. 6. Review Site Plan for Planned Development (PD), Lots 9, 9A, & 10, City Block 259, 2709 E. Cherry. A motion was made by Bobby L. Myers to approve the Site Plan subject to -tile City Engineer's Memo dated October 7, 1997. The motion was seconded by Eva Flenniken and carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. 7. Consider recommendation of the Preliminary Plat for Summerwood Estates Phase H. A motion was made by Curtis Fendley to approve the Preliminary Plat subject to the City Engineer's Memo dated October 7, 1997. The motion was seconded by Marshall Kent and carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. 8. Public Hearing on the proposed annexation and appropriate zoning upon annexation of 5,508.895 acres. City Manager, Mike Malone, presented a summary of annexation explaining how annexation came about. The general purpose of annexation is to control growth, protect corridors into the city, and provide the area for expansion. The service plan was read, which is attached.
