Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mrs. Strickland plans to demolish the structures. There was a discussion about the <br />city doing the demolition. Johnny Norris asked what time frame Mr. Strickland <br />needed to have the demolition done. Mrs. Strickland asked for 90 days. <br />Motion was made by Sally McEwin, seconded by Jon McFadden to allow 90 <br />days for demolition. Motion carried unanimously. 7 -0 <br />I. 658 & 646 NW 4th; City of Paris, Block 90A, Lot 1 &2 <br />Owner: Ruby Jewell Ladell 658 NW 4t" Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Ruby J Ladell <br />No taxes owed. <br />Robert Talley stated at the November meeting the committee ordered a 30 day <br />demolish order on this property. After the meeting Mrs. Ladell contacted Robert <br />and asked to repair the property. Robert stated the property has deteriorating <br />wood, foundation damage, leaning forward, splitting, sinking, unsecure, broken <br />windows, roof deteriorating, the siding is falling off, and the roof is buckling and <br />sagging. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Order property owner to repair within 90 <br />days. <br />Mrs. Ladell stated she has cleaned up the junk and rubbish off the property. Mr. <br />Wilson asked if she had started repairs on the structure and she stated no because <br />she didn't want to spend money until the committee agreed to let her have time to <br />repair the structure. Mr. Wilson asked Mrs. Ladell if she realized the cost to get <br />the property up to code and she stated that she did. Johnny Norris asked how <br />much time Mrs. Ladell needed to make the repairs. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded Zac Saffle to allow 90 days to <br />repair. Paris, TX 75460 -1010 <br />Present: Mary Jane Harmon <br />Taxes owed: $853.77 <br />Robert Talley stated that there is deterioration around the window frames, porch, <br />roof, siding is bowing, missing and deteriorated wood, and house is sinking, <br />unsecure, and broken windows. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Mrs. Harmon has agreed to let the City of Paris demolish the structure. Mr. <br />Wilson asked Robert to get with Mrs. Harmon and explain the estimate of cost <br />and how to handle letting the City of Paris demolish her property. <br />
