No further work had been done. <br />Item Seven: After discussion a motion was put forth by Sue Lancaster that a public hearing be set for <br />Thursday, January 15, 2004 at six o'clock PM. Jerry Raper seconded the motion and the motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Item Eight: Two downtown property owners appeared before the Commission for possible approval of <br />Certificate of Appropriateness in the Downtown Historic District. <br />A. Bradley O'Brien, a property owner of the old service station at 208 South Main explained his <br />desire to clean and repaint the original porcelain cladding in original Gulf service station colors. He <br />noted that he would not consider replacement of the porcelain panels due to the excessive expense and <br />lack of rent potential. A motion was made by Paul Denney that the Certificate of Appropriateness be <br />granted. Sue Lancaster seconded the motion.
