Reporting directly to the City Manager, the Director of Administrative Services has responsibil- ity of the following departments and functions: . Public Information - Responsible for public information, media relations, and press re- leases. (Staff - 2; annual budget - $238,463) . Human Resources - Responsible for recruitment, benefits administration, safety/risk, and employee development. (Human Resources: Staff - 5; annual budget - $491,127; Safety/Risk: Staff - 2; annual budget - $3,360,174) . City Secretary - Responsible for minutes, official records, and archives for city. Purchasing - Responsible for development of specifications, issuing of RFP's and SOQ's, and purchasing for all City departments, (Staff - 5; annual budget - $293,869) . Airport - The City owns and operates the McKinney Municipal Airport, The City has a staff of 3 at the facility and subleases operation of the airport to various tenants and an FBO. Tenants include corporate jet operations. (Staff - 3; annual budget - $1,313,165) . Library - In 2001, the City completed its new Library in downtown McKinney, The facil- ity houses over 100,000 volumes. (Staff - 26; annual budget $1,667,858)
