APPENDIX. A
SA..1',fPLE PSYCHOLOGICAL REPORT

Abilities

Thinking

DETAILED PSYCHOLOGICAL REPORT RESULTS

(No ability test scores were available for this candidate.)

Within the range of his intellectual skills, he shows an average tendency to
probe into issues or problems. When he disciplines himself, he may be capable
of insightful and reflective thought; however, he can be impulsive, He may need
to be encouraged to be more patient and disciplined in his decision making, and
to deal with information or problems in a more thorough manner.

Less cautious and reserved than the typical professional, he is likely to make
decisions and adopt courses of action without excessive deliberation, Probably,
he will not waste effort on the evaluation of simple, straightforward decisions.
However, he sometimes may be undisciplined in his approach to complex
problems or decisions that have serious consequences. He may tend to select
easy or first-available solutions, even in those situations that would be better
addressed with more measured judgment He may take unnecessary risks.

Occasionally, he may be more subjective than objective in his reactions to
situations and may tend to make decisions based on his intuition. When this
happens, his personal beliefs or feelings may influence his judgment However,
when he takes the time to think a situation through carefully, he should
generally be capable of practical, sensible solutions to problems,

His results suggest that he is about as systematic and organized in his thinking
as the typical professional.

Since he tends to be both thoughtful and reflective in his thinking, and
reasonably practical and objective in his orientation, his approach to decision
making should show a concern for both the immediate usefulness of solutions
to problems and the broader or longer term consequences of those solutions.

@2004..
