and refer people to us for the job. I don't know how that relates to <br />the experience that you say that some of these people have had at <br />the church. We post our jobs on the bulletin board, but I think we <br />can probably start running them on the TV, that is a free service, we <br />can probably do that. We don't advertise those jobs in the paper, <br />you know, we don't buy an ad as such in the paper. Now, the Civil <br />Service job is either policeman or fireman, and you have an <br />entrance examination, and we give that normally once a year for the <br />Fire Department. The Police Department we haven't given a test in <br />a while because we are not getting applications, you know, people <br />wanting to apply to take the test. And, on Civil Service we are <br />notifying the churches that there is going to be a test given. So, if <br />they don't sign up and take the test, it won't make any difference <br />when the opening comes because if they are not of the list, they <br />won't be on there. We will have to add, or we are considering <br />adding three more Fire Department positions, and I don't know what <br />state the list is in, we have a list, but I don't know when it runs out. <br />Burgin December 1 st <br />Malone Alright, if we hire those three firefighters before December, they will <br />come off this current. There are no minorities on that list. There <br />won't be anymore positions created, and there is no telling, it may <br />be 10 years before anybody quits, and we may not add another <br />firefighter position, because when you add him, you add in threes. <br />You may not add another position for 10 years, we don't know. It <br />was a long time to add these positions. When we did these Civil <br />Service tests, when we first got ready, we said we have got to hire <br />some more firefighters and we contacted the NAACP, we ran ads in <br />the Black Journal, we put ads in the paper, and we even put <br />something that is probably a little fishy on the bottom of the ad that <br />said minorities are encouraged to apply, which is really going <br />beyond what the law wants you to do. And, we did not get <br />applicants. I can't explain why we didn't get applicants, but you <br />know, you say well lets recruit, that is fine. We can recruit but we <br />need to know where to recruit and how to approach that and come <br />up with a some solutions. But, we have got to recruit them to take <br />the test.
