We use our own <br />personnel department. I got on the phone, these are my people that <br />will be working in ICU, they are going to be monitor techs. That are <br />un- trained. High school prepared, and I will have people from my <br />unit train them to read rhythm strips, and it is so hard, other than <br />the test, you know, to get people to work for the city. <br />Malone Our openings are generally occasional, so, I don't know. <br />High The purpose behind recruitment is to put your organization in the <br />forefront. To make a name for yourself so that people can look at it, <br />get light, they have a good taste in their mouth, they have a positive <br />attitude about it. They hear about you and they know about you, and <br />then, when the jobs do come open, they are encouraged to apply. <br />You know, we need a recruitment package. We need a recruitment <br />budget and we need to make recruitment trips. And, above all, we <br />need a responsible party or departments who wants to see to those <br />things are done. <br />Fisher Are you still using the employment office to sent you applicants. <br />Malone Yes. <br />Fisher That is the first mistake. I promise you, that is the nail in the coffin <br />right there. What we did, we started using the employment office <br />and we got people in HR that these people come and said, Mary Ann <br />Fisher has a job, I want to fill out an application and I want an <br />interview, and that is as simple as it is. Everybody gets an interview <br />until I fill the position. We don't go to Human Resources, I mean, <br />employment office for anything. <br />Webb And, the reason we don't, and I don't know how, but it is legal. <br />Malone We don't have to, we can do it ourselves.
