Continuance of borrowing privileges does not release the patron <br />from the obligation to pay fines and charges. <br />V. Special privileges <br />All pa,trons will be treated alike irs, regard to fines and <br />charges. The fact that the patron is,a borrower of long standing, <br />that the patron makes gifts to the library, or that the patron <br />is a prominent citizen is irrelevant to his or her obligations <br />a,s a library borrower. <br />As a-.benefit of working for the library, library employees <br />will ,not be charged la,te fines. The staff will be expected <br />to pay for lost and damaged items. <br />VI. Destination of revenues <br />All late charges will be turned in to the City of Paris for <br />general revenue. <br />Charges assessed for lost and damaged items will be added to <br />the S.W. Wilber Memorial Fund for use in replacing the item <br />lost or damaged. <br />VII. Authority <br />This policy will take effect June 20, 1978• <br />This policy is set by the Director of Library Services and will <br />continue in effect on his administrative authority until the <br />governing authority of the library sets a policy to supersede <br />this one. <br />Director of Library Services <br />
