Mrs. Alsobrook moved the Board work with the City Council <br />to formally approach the County Commissioners about <br />assistance from the County to fund Library needs because <br />of large county users, and pledge all help possible to <br />support this effort, before turning to a users fee. <br />Motion seconded, discussed and passed. <br />Chairman Neely appointed these committees which will get <br />their own chairman and set times to meet: 1. Automation - <br />Mrs. Shelton, Mrs. Patterson, Mr. Hagood; 2. Special <br />Events and Presentations - Mrs. Gibbs, Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. <br />Ellis; 3. Budget - Mrs. Alsobrook, Mr. Rex, Chairman <br />Neely; 4. Children's Department and Reference Area - Mrs. <br />Patterson, Mrs. Shelton, Mrs. Wood of the Friends of the <br />Library; 5. Volunteers.- Mr. Seay; 6. NETLS and State and <br />Federal - Mrs. Alsobrook and Mr. Seay. <br />Ms. Lewis announced the book review luncheon Monday, <br />November 2 was a sell out and that the sale of the new <br />Library tote bags would begin then. <br />She mentioned the special historical flags exhibit in the <br />Gallery on loan from the National Guard. <br />She said the November meeting would be Wednesday, November <br />25. <br />Meeting adjourned at 5 PM. <br />Approved Frances Ellis, Secretary <br />
