Bill Hagood discussed the Library Accounts and members <br />discussed the written account of the Endowments. As of <br />July 31, 1990, there is a $97,000 C.D. in the United <br />Savings Association, Houston, earning 8.55 %, due November <br />2, 1990. He said since October 1, 1989, interest income <br />had been $10,495.85 and this is in a NOW Account. He <br />indicated the First Federal Account of $1,343.01 had been <br />closed in August and deposited in the NOW Account. He <br />said he would provide a running account of expenses for <br />the Bywaters Exhibit and the Encyclopedia set which came <br />out of the J.A. Love Account. <br />The Director noted the regional meeting for the Texas <br />Conference on Libraries and Information Services would be <br />Saturday, October 20 at the Richardson,Civic Center. She <br />urged everyone to attend because at this meeting <br />resolutions to take to the state conference will be <br />prepared and delegates selected. City Manager, Mike <br />Malone, has been nominated as a delegate. <br />The Director recommended Jackie Alsobrook as Lay <br />Representative to NETLS. Hagood moved this be approved, <br />motion seconded, discussed, and passed. <br />Mrs. Hayter spoke for the Friends with the Board <br />recommending the annual Book Review be held in the Paris <br />Junior College ballroom in February on a Friday when the <br />Rotary Club does not meet there. <br />Mrs. Ellis recommended members begin to think of ways to <br />honor other local artists, such as Mr. Thrasher, his son, <br />and Irby Brown. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5 P.M. <br />9 / � e (, e-- -C- �-� <br />e Approved Frances Ellis, Secretary <br />C/ <br />
