Page 2 <br />Library Advisory Board Minutes <br />August 21, 1996 <br />Ms. Lewis announced the Library would partner with the Women's <br />Health Resource Center of McCuistion Regional Medical Center for <br />a fall lecture series "Women's Words - Women's Issues ". Probable <br />topics are friendships, aging and alternative medicine. <br />Ms. Lewis distributed the Circulation Statistics Report which <br />provides a patron code breakdown of items circulated this fiscal <br />year through July 31. The city percentage is 53% and the county <br />is 470. Upon motion by Jackie Alsobrook, second by Keitt Wood, <br />the Board voted unanimously to send a statement of purpose with <br />the statistics to the City Manager with the wording: Since the <br />Paris Public Library receives no county funds, we recommend this <br />information be given careful consideration; and request <br />city /county cooperation in determining a fair share for the <br />county to contribute to the Library." <br />Kathie Gibbs announced the new Friends Vice - President is Kathryn <br />Browning. <br />Ms. Lewis advised she and Assistant Director, Priscilla McAnally, <br />will attend continuing education workshops about the Internet. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5:40 PM. <br />ILIG.�a,u�,'v�• ��� <br />Frances A.
