PAGE 2 <br />LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD 07/16/97 <br />Ms. Lewis advised the Family Literacy Outreach Services Project (FLOSP) has been very <br />successful to date. Kids attending the programs range in age from two years to sixteen years; and <br />several adults have attended each program, also. There have been articles about the program in <br />the Blossom and Roxton newspapers and The Paris News usually runs the individual schedules. <br />As of this date, 478 kids and 158 adults have attended and 80% of the kidis have completed <br />weekly personal Reading Logs. <br />Catharine Browning reported the fall benefit luncheon would be Monday, October 13 at the Paris <br />Golf and Country Club and would feature Gloria Hocking's presentation of "The Dysfunctional <br />Wives of Henry VIII ". The spring program will be April 27, 1998, and Jane Elwood will present <br />"The Belle of Amhurst ". <br />Ms. Lewis advised the big screen TV, which was purchased by the Board and is frequently used <br />for children's programs, needed repair; and upon motion by Toni Donnan, second by Frances <br />Ellis, the repair was authorized. <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:55 PM. <br />Frances A.
